Mavericks like Rock Akal: planet maker, space frontiersman, one of the first terraformers, a man who in the face of the unknown, singlehandedly wrote the book of planet seeding.
Rock Akal who, unwittingly, carried an infection onto the dead planet he was terraforming. The primitive seed, when triggered, served to infect the Rock’s virus into the very structure of the planet’s developing eco-system. History tells us that the virus on Markov IV was deemed capable of infecting just about anything save the vacuum of space and after a per functionary rescue attempt, Markov IV was isolate with the greatest publicity.
Rock Akal died alone on that planet.
