Episode 8

Otto Dix, "Portrait of the Lawyer Hugo Simons"

Mavericks like Jimmy Bain – a thorn in the side of every corporation that lied to the public, and let’s face it, they all lie to the public. Somehow Jimmy had not been corrupted by the law, law that he used to the best of his abilities.
The problem with the law, and the Legal System in particular, is that it is money driven. There are very few lawyers who are prepared to self-finance the cases they bring to court, the reason being that most had entered the Legal System in the hope that it would make them either rich or famous, or both.
Jimmy Bain had the benefit of a huge inheritance from a father of dubious principles; proving, for once, that the apple can, and sometimes does, fall far from the tree.
So history told us.
